i have a 1998 Ranger - which body lift do you prefer?
okay, i really want to get this body lift done before winter, i want to know if anyone prefers a certain one. i have a 98 ranger 4X4 5spd, stepside bed(not sure if that matters) i basically have no clue how to install a body lift, im not the greatest with working on cars, so i dont have the best knowledge, im relying on my friends to help, they have installed lifts on thier trucks and they know what they are doing, none of them have rangers though. i wanted to atleast make a desicion on what to get so i can get this thing moving along. thanks for any info you have, here is a recent pic of my truck taken today -
okay sounds good guys, i looked up the lift on summit, its $159 and then $35 for the sift extender, hopefully i can order it soon, and hopefully i can get it installed in one day haha
Do yourself a favor and print the instructions from PA's website ahead of time so you'll have an idea of what you're getting into. Also-start spraying the bolts with PB Blaster NOW. You'll be glad you did both.

summit one worked for me, just have some help in the process.....i think pulling my tranny was easier than the body lift....and like vh5150 said spray those bolts now, especially the front ones they were not fun
x2! saves you a lot of time although some bolts may need heat applied til they turn red then they'll come out like butter haha. i'd be willing to help, might be picking up a set of tires in nj in a few weeks I THINK
