I have a '97 2WD 4cyl - I'm 16 and it's my first truck. Given that I have limited funds available is there a way to get 1 or 2" of lift without a lift kit? I've never used one so I have no idea how they work. Can heavier shocks be used to do this? I'd appreciate any advice you could give me.

shocks dont lift.

F150 coils will (a lot of work)
coil spacers (cheap and easy if you can get your front end apart)
lift coils
blocks
