Kinda have to buy it.....it's either that or not run a plastic cover over the hole in the floor. WowMike2001 ran his w/o the extention(it didn't come in yet) and had to run w/o his cupholder thing, and he also had to grind away at his inspection cover(what the cupholder and bracket bolt to) in order for the stock shifter w/o extention to work til he got his extention.

when you do the lift, you'll notice your shifter itself has a long taper to it...fatter at the bottom. That's the issue with the body lfit. The fat bottom hits the trans inspection cover in 2nd, 4th, and Reverse. The shift extention, lifts the shifter arm up, and clears that fat part from hitting. The shift throws will be longer than before because you added length to the shifter arm.
$35 for the extention. $200 for the Hurst. $0 for cutting up your floor and bezel.
