WOOHOO!! Yup another BL thread...MINE!!

Well I'm finally getting a BL for my Taz!! It was either that or trade him in on a F150 4x4. The hubby opted for the less expensive of the two. SOOOOOOOOO I need to know what BL to get and what all I need to get.

Trigger01 09-25-2009 04:15 PM

Hey, I've been bickering with my hubby and he finally gave in. Guess he'd rather spend 1500 in bigger tires and a bl than 25000 in a new truck!

TazDevil07 09-25-2009 05:17 PM

Thanks Trent. Now to see if my local boys wanna help me! hehe

Joe, did you install yours or have someone do it?

Off-roadranger04 09-25-2009 05:54 PM

well as you kno i have a suspension lift... only reason why i didnt do it myself was b/c i didnt have a torsion bar puller to take the keys and bars out... other than that i would have dont it myself, its a very straight forward kit.... As for a body lift never done one, but im sure it isnt that hard.

rangerboy101 09-25-2009 05:57 PM

Keeping the alcoas right? Throwin on some 33x11.50's like me right? Gonna look good when it's done.

robert99ranger 09-25-2009 06:32 PM

Awesome Brenda. Glad your gonna keep the Alcoas. I love that rim.

TazDevil07 09-25-2009 06:33 PM

I haven't decided on the tires yet. I wanna get the lift first and then decide. Money don't grow in my back yard..hehehe I'm looking for an aggressive looking tire (black walls out I'm thinking) but most of all GOTTA FIT ON MY ALCOAS! hehehe

In all seriousness, 33x11.50 Terra Grapplers. Can have them shipped to your door for $615. A lot less expensive then many of the other AT's I priced out and you can have your black walls out because you cant get white letters on Nittos. And the 11.50's will fit nicely on your 15x7's.

EDIT: You have 15's. No Terra Grapplers for you... Just go BFG AT's. You'd have to go with either 12.50's or 10.50's if you went with BFG's.

TazDevil07 09-25-2009 06:39 PM

I don't like the BFG's I have now...I'm sure I'm not gonna like them in a bigger size...yuk!

rangerboy101 09-25-2009 06:42 PM

Didn't know you don't like the BFG's. How much are you looking at spending on tires though? A grand?

MudSlanger 09-25-2009 06:51 PM

Summit body lift kit is the SAME exact kit as the PA kit. Just go that route and save yourself the 90 dollars or something. I installed one myself and it was fairly easy and straight forward. Just bust out the good ole PB BLASTER lol spray the bolts every day for a week, that will help break those bolts out. The back 2 for the cab is a pain in the BUTT. Mine are loose in the back and need to tighten them still. They make a squeeky noise. Nothing a few turns of the socket cant fix ;)

My BFG Muds are PERFECT, i love them! You are nuts to not like BFG :-P

TazDevil07 09-25-2009 06:53 PM

Thats the estimate, Tyler. About a grand, but less is better.

Thanks Chris. Trent showed me the one from Summit. I'm all about saving bucks plus I love Summit Racing! hehe

rangerboy101 09-25-2009 06:54 PM

Hmm... Mud Terrain? All Terrain?
