My little work truck is have some issues right now. I drove it this morning had no problems but when I got in it to drive home it started running ruff as soon as I started it all the way home.

I replaced spark plugs,wires,air filter,fuel filter.....none helped.

I have searched and im goin to look at replacing the EGR valve and check for vacuum leaks.

Anything else that yall think of that I could look at tomorrow would help

 

It sounds like its running on 3 cylinders,im goin to try to pull the distributer cap and check around in there.

 

Its probably the MAF sensor

 

my truck is doing something very similar. sometimes i start it up and it sounds like its missing, and it shakes bad. let me know what you find out. i can pop my hood, unplug the MAF sensor, and the rough idle will clear right up. im just not sure if this is a good way to test the MAF. i would first try to clean yours, then replace it if no improvement. a garage can test your MAF for cheap im sure.

 

10% of the MAF sensors fail. You can clean it with some electrical stuff you buy at autozone
