2.5 Vacuum harness

Hello all I have a 2000 Ford ranger 2.5 with a 5-speed manual I've had it for 3 years and when I first purchased the vehicle the air conditioning used to blow through the defroster which I was told is very common and it was a vacuum, I had taken it to my mechanic recently, he repaired it by rerouting the vacuum lines and when I took the vehicle home I noticed i would lose air conditioning under acceleration. I brought it back to the mechanic the following day and was told that it was the vacuum harness from the firewall to heat control valve and vacuum canister and told me that that was an obsolete part and if I am not mistaken I believe he said it was brass and mine was corroded my question is do you know if there is such a replacement for this part or how can I get this repaired any input would be greatly appreciated.

There is only one vacuum line that goes from the vacuum canister (ball) that goes to the vacuum actuator that is behind the glove box. Not sure why he says it is a vacuum harness!
