Is there a silencer that can be removed.? Iv'e looked around the air filter, but didn't see one, am I just missing it? or is there not a silencer?

i couldnt find one on the 4cyl 2.3. I foundd a couple other ones though

 

Yeah if I'm not mistaken the How-To for this isn't really geared toward the 2.3L engine, 4.0L or higher I'm guessing, (Never saw that engine so I Don't know but I know I have the conical shaped air filter not the rectangular one pictured).

 

the 4.0 litre air silencer remover mod works for the 2.3. since the air filter is in the same place on the all Ranger engines.
