I have a single in/single out Flowmaster 40 series muffler in the back of my truck, I am getting it put on tomorrow. How should I run it, does anyone have any sound clips or vids? How about dumping it, how would that sound?

 

I'll try to get a vid of my flow40 this evening. It's a SI/DO though...

 

What are you going for? Do you want massive sound or mellow sound?

 

dumping it will make it deeper sounding and 'louder'

 

dump it and go with the hushpowerII or the 80 series cross flow

 

ill get a clip of mine tomorrow. i got a dynomax SI/SO and its dumped before the axle. ill be doing some work on it at work tomorrow to tuck it up under the truck better.

 

I have the gibson exhaust, not the flowmaster, but I left the last piece out so that it goes over the axel and ends with enough clearance that it doesn't put all the heat on the spare. Sounds great and looks really nice being that you cannot see any tailpipe.
