4 banger owners;
Post your MPG and a quick idea of truck/maintence/etc, lets see how close we all are.

1992 2.3 with the 5 speed, 3.73 rear end (almost certain)
maintence-Valvoline every 3-5k, motor craft filter, within the last 10k miles- fuel filter, timing belt, plugs, wires, Alisyn full synthetic in the rear end, cleaned the fuel injectors (the real way, not just dump snake oil into the tank), tires and alignment. Also have soft toneau cover, not sure how much that helps. With all of that, keeping the revs under 3k, cruising at 65, I average 27mpg over a tank of gas.

What do you get?

Well I change the oil every 3k and use Motorcraft 5W-20 Synthetic Blend and K&N Oil Filter. And I average about 18mpg each tank of gas. Look at the sig for truck specs.

Eh my 3.0 with intake/exhaust and new plugs and Mobil 1 0w-20 synthetic oil gets 260 to a full tank. That's like 16.5 mpg I guess. I don't change my oil enough. That's the problem. I've got 45k and I'm on my 4th oil change or something absurd. The oil still looks really good though so no complaints.

What sucks now is the 4 cylinder is only 5 hp less then the 3.0 stock and it gets an extra 10 mpg so we're almost stupid for having a V6 for just a daily driver.

I get 17 city, 19 highway in my 4.0.. pretty much no matter how I drive. If I drive like an old man I'll only get 15 so I started acting my age again. I've started driving tons less since the katrina/rita price gouging spree in houston, I don't trust any of these evil gas stations anymore.. I saw $3.31, I have friends that paid $6 a gallon during the evacuation.

Stock 2003 Ford Ranger...about 13mpg, no highway usage (to school, to home, to practice...thats it...stop and go driving kills me)

I saw some increase in gas mileage when I kept my RPMs really really low--so if youre looking to get better MPG, which we all are...try that
