got my cam :)

so i got a cam for my truck today.
do i need to get a tuner so it will run?

A tuner???

The only thing you need to make it run is to put it in and adjust your timing!

nvm the one i have wont work, i have to get a smooth lobe cam.
..or go with a carb. :\

thats what cranecams told me.

you need a roller cam specifically because you have roller followers.

my truck has a roller cam in it allready.
as far as i know that cam is a roller.

Ok.. i just an email back from cranecams..
if anyone is looking to put a cam in a 2.3L SHOC with roller cam. heres the email they sent me.

(USE CAM # 19RFOR050 THIS IS A SPECIAL CUSTOM CAM FOR YOUR ENGINE TO WORK
WITH THE COMPUTER IT HAS A 420 LIFT IN THE INT. AND EXH.
IS ON A 112 L/S AND THE DURATION @ .050 IS 214 INT. AND EXH.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTION LET US KNOW
THANK FOR USING CRANE CAMS.)

i looked on summitracing and the cam is like. $350
