I have to go behind the glove compartment to manually switch from vents-defrost-floor etc. My mechanic told me the cable needs to be replaced, but Ford discontinued it. What is this cable called? Has anyone ever replaced this?

 

little more info on your truck would help tons. i think i just tossed one of the cables from a 93 away a few weeks ago.

might have to look in jy's or ebay.

 

It's a 94 XLT.

The mechanic told me I could probably find one at the JY. But is it easy to remove?
