Ok I put in a new battery (Duralast Gold) yesterday and today, twice my truck has not started. It has just turned and it sounds like the fuel pump may not be kicking on. It wont start for a period of 5 or 10 minutes then it will just fire up and act fine for a few hours. The battery is still making a connection so i dont think that is what it is (the cd player and everything stay on) so what could my problem be?

 

fuel pump or starter silinoid would be my guess

 

it could be the fuel pump relay... so when you turn the key to "run" do you hear the fuel pump whine for a second or two and then stop?

 

Solenoid, check your fuses and make sure your grounds are clean.
