Occasional starting troubles

In the past few weeks it has started to get pretty cold around here (around 20 degrees at times) so i let my truck run a few minutes before i leave for school. When i got in it to leave the other day it died as i started to back up. I thought i just killed it(5 speed) but then i find that it doesnt want to start back. It cranked until the battery started to get low without even the slightest sign of firing. I tried again with what i had left of the battery except with the gas to the floor and it eventually started up. It idled bad for a lil bit but then it was fine. Any ideas? Its happened twice now.

Check for bad battery, fuel pump, vaccum leak, spark plugs/wires.

Changed the fuel filter, ran some seafoam in the gas and through the intake and it seems to be comin out of it. Gas mileage got a heck of a lot better too.
