older 2.3 motors

I was wondering i i could just plug and paly a 01 2.3 into an older 2.3? Thanks

im not sure, the newer motor is a DOHC motor, you might have to swap out the harness's and a few other things(ie: computer).

No, it will not work as a plug and play swap.
