Does the MAF mitigate the PCM's fuel mixture decision on a 05 ranger? This i chapter 5 of my quest to get rid of my check engine code p0171 an my spark knocking.

P0171 System Too Lean (Bank 1)

the MAF sends the readings it get to the pcm and the pcm tells the injectors how much full to use...
