Hello, I'm currently looking for answers to my issue with my 2007 2wd ranger. I'm having issues with the feel and sound. When rolling down the road if i turn the steering wheel slightly to left or right i get a roaring type sound and feel. I opened the hood and noticed a steering boot cover was deteriorating and open. I didn't see anything that looked bad but ??? Anyone had this kind of issue? Thank you, badcreek

 

Doesn't read like steering issue, reads like front wheel bearing or ball joint issue

Jack up each front wheel and see if either has play
