Icon6 SHIFT ****

i have the one on the single cab xlt and i tried getting it off with vice grips but could is there a special way to get it off? thanks

hrm.. it should come right off since its not threaded its got splines like mine does

yea mine had some kind of adhesive on it but it came off with a little bit of twisting it back and forth

i custom machined one in metal shop out of some billet aluminum


you can get them at pepboys/autozone .skulls 8 ***** shotgun shells etc

I alwaly have the **** come off when I'm shifting hard. It's really annoying, but it reminds me I'm dumb for having not glued it on yet.

well what i did on my 01 was pull off the whole shifter and put the **** in a bench vise and squeezed the crap out of it until it split the just stuck a screwdriver in there and split it all the way also if you cut the plastic cover piece out of the way it helps

as far as the ne **** goes i got it from bruce over at koolknobs.com

Try a heat gun as well. I know before I had my hurst, if it was really warm out it would slip off when I was shifting hard into second. I think Shane got domed when trying to pull one off lol.

But seriously get one of these, best thing I ever did to my truck.
