wanting 2 change gear ratio 2 3:73

would that hurt my power in any way because its gonna be a lil bit b4 i turbo my truck ill probly get 2 building it l8r on in the yr but until then would it burt it in anyway

i went from 4.10 to 3.73 l/s in my truck (2.5L) and havent really noticed a difference to be honest

i dont see why it would damage anything my truck is lifted and has 3.73 with 31 and runs smooth

no i know it wouldnt hurt anything i was just wondering if you guys noticed a difference in performance and while i have it out im gonna build the rear with sum 28 spline axles detroit limited slip with 3:73's sound good 2 you guys im rebuilding my trans next week and puttin better sencros in it because my 3rd gear sencro is shot and so is 2nd and 4th there starting 2 go also

personally, I would stick with the 4.10's....you wont gain anything performance wise by switching to a 3.73

dude im doin a turbo build and if i keep the stock 4:10's the turbo wont spool right and all i was wonderin is if i do the gears now would it hurt my acceleration and highway rolling thats all

umm, with the 4.10s the turbo will spool faster because the engine will be in the powerband sooner... Also you may loose some gas mileage dropping to the 3.73s unless you are running some 25 or 26 inch tires.
