2019 2.3L won't stop running
Hi yall, I recently started having this problem where when I remove the key from the ignition, my engine still continues to run. This happens until I remove the ignition coil fuse from the engine compartment fuse box. I have replaced the fuse and it still happens.
I also had a dead battery yesterday (battery was brand new in early November 2024) and got it jumped and replaced. Check engine light then turned on and stayed on after the switch along with a ton of messages about systems not working. I woke up today to that new battery being dead as well and had it jumped again and took it to the mechanic where they said they've never seen this before either. Anyone have any ideas on what is happening?
For context,
1. I have aftermarket grille lights that I hooked up to a switched fuse but they have been disconnected for a couple weeks now so they haven't been tapped into the battery. Everything electrical is stock from when it was bought.
2. When the battery was replaced yesterday, it was tested by the autozone employee, first test came back at 56% battery life left, second test (not even a minute later) came back as 34%. After the swap it started up fine but the engine still ran after the key was removed.
3. The check engine light wasn't on for the ignition problem but turned on after the battery was replaced and has stayed on.
4. I also noticed after I jumped it for the first time, the reverse lights turn on with the parking lights and that has never happened before either, they still do that today.
5. Truck is still currently at the mechanic but I was hoping to see if there were any answers here, thank you in advance

it's a 2019, everything runs through a couple of electrical busses, when you jumped it you probably fried one or more modules that are causing the problem, it will literally take forever cause the shop will have to go through all the electrical components, testing each one to make sure they work, just make sure the shop doesn't try to screw you over.
