I have a 87 ranger 2.9 v6 2wd it has the older transmission in it I've tried rocking it and changed out the clutch master cylinder getign a new slave if that doesn't release it could u tell me how to get it unstuck

 

You mean its stuck in gear? Cant get it into neutral? And this is a result of the clutch system not releasing the clutch plate from pressure plate, correct? If not, wonder if the internal shift fork or rail is all jacked up.

 

It's was the shift fork wore out! I've got a new one and have the transmission tore down just don't know how to get the bearing on the main shaft out! Is there a trick to it or I'm I looking at having to get another transmission

 

You will need a press to remove some of the bearings, as they are generally pressed into place on the shaft.

 

Here it is the truck that has given me nine kinds of h*ll been working on it for the past 3 year! And still to my knowledge only has 106.000 on it and im the secound owner

Got myself this far without a press just had to get a friend weld something out of a 3 jaw puller and a pipe

 

What kinda of press would I need exactly I'm sure there are different types

 

The is a Mitsubishifm145 or fm 146

 

Ok exactly how would I go about doing so this is my first experience with a manual transmission
