Anyone if the NAPA replacement any good or should I go OE? If you got part numbers that would be awesome.
I hooked it up to the smoke machine at work today looking for vacuum leaks and:
My NAPA-foo gives me
NPart Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve - 226336 $78.40
NPart Idle Air Control Valve - 216833 $70.14
They're made by Echli and not Dorman thankfully. But not sure if Echli is any good.

2001 FORD RANGER 3.0L V6 Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve | RockAuto
The Ford Motor Craft one at RockAuto is less expensive for OE.
If you're going to spend almost 80 bucks on the EGR valve, why not get the Ford one, it's pretty much the same price ?

Aftermarket parts are never tested like OE parts. The NAPA parts are expensive because it's from a brick and mortar store.

I work on base in the auto shop so we have on hand NAPA guy. I got all the parts $120. With 36/mo 36,000 mile warranty. I'm going to RR them and smoke to verify.
The truck is shaky cold, little lean, little poor on MPG (data per the OBD II PIDs). I have to rev it to not stall (manual), starts shaking and the CHECK GAUGES light lights up. Warms up and it's not perfect but better. It's a new long block just past the warranty from Ford, less than 10k on it... There was a vac leak prior from cats chewing on the lines. Brakes are rock hard (vac leak) after sitting. threw the small items at the booster, hoping it's not the booster. This truck has been hell.... Core blew twice, radiator once, all during a head gasket issue... Now it's colder in the mornings now...
Compared to other Rangers I drove in the shop, mine is running crappy. :D
