Hi,
I have a 99 Ranger, and the engine seized at 230,000 miles. I was looking for a used motor and need some help. I have a flex fuel 3.0 built before 7/99 and can’t find a replacement motor. There are several for 3.0 flex fuel Rangers built after 7/99. Does anyone know what the difference is? Can I put a late model 3.0 flex fuel engine in an early model Ranger?

we just purchased a Remfg engine because the intakes would not swap even though lots of people say they will they didn't match up at all searched for over 6mos for a used one had no luck

 

I was thinking of buying one from a junkyard, and it is complete from oil pan to intake. Do you think think it would work?
