3.0 headaches please help
3.0 headaches please help
New to the forum and hello to all members. Look forward to picking intellectual minds.
I have a 02 ranger xl 3.0 with automatic tranny 2wd. Here are the things I’ve replaced since truck was sitting for few years. I swapped motor short block out of my running 99xlt. I used all accessories off the 2002 because it was power everything and 4 drs, just in way better condition body wise with the luxuries. Here are the new parts
fuel pump (2nd)
fuel filter
plugs & wires
synchronizer and sensor
air filter
(1) upstream 02 sensor
pcv valve
coil pack
there are couple other items but can’t recall at moment. After all this the truck had thru a few codes but addressed them as they come. Now no codes and truck starts but hesitant. When it cranks I have issue with it going sluggish after 5min warmup where it will not move like it’s bogged down severely. I have fuel pressure and spark and compression but I’m losing my mind over it. I’ve checked to make sure I’m tdc and still not running like it should. I know it’s a shot in the dark but please give me some ideas because I’m missing something
thanks

Only the short block is from the '99? Everything else is from the 2002, meaning PCM, heads, entire intake, exhaust, crank position sensor and tone ring, cam synchronizer is new? It runs better before the 5 minutes of warming up? Why replace only one O2 sensor, they're a limited service time item?
