i just bought a 99 ranger xlt power everything for CHEAPP seems like it needs a power steering pump and the motor is making noises is anyone in the western mass area that is good at finding whats wrong if so could someone come look at it? i do have a heated garage so you dont have to freeze in the cold.

 

did you check the resvoir to see if there any fluid in there?

Is the rack leaking?

 

yea its leaking out somewhere on the bottom think its the rack

 

Yeah you need to replace the rack and pinion. Thats the problem right there.

 

but whats the miss fire and the knockingish noise?

 

if there is no fluid the pump is working out with the steel itself sir...

 

the gauge says theres oil pressure

 

anyone in the springfield mass area that knows hows to swap motors wanna lend hand i have a heated garage and im just putting another stock motor in it
