3.0 missfire and rough shaking

ok guys i started my 2000 xlt with the 3.0 and it started to shake the whole truck. it would stop above 1500rpm but now its all the time. my brother said its the injector since we know its the #5 cylinder and we replaced plugs and wires and tested them and they work fine. so i guess its my injector, but earlier i started it up and it is cold outside but my exhaust was abit white. i dont know if it was because of the cold or if maybe im burning colant. do you think seafoam would help fix the injector or would i have to take it out and have it cleaned? (my brother works at a diesel fuel injection shop so i'll have him clean it) or do you think that a blown head gasket might cause this? and when i smelled the exhaust this morning it smelled alot like gas fumes so i think the #5 injector is stuck open. any help or anything would be great thanks in advance.

check your mass air flow sensor my truck was doing similar things i cleaned out the M.A.F. and it was good. maybe start there before you pull the heads

it it flex fuel?

if so then 99% its a bad injector.

I had this happen to me twice. Both times it was an injector. You can try cleaning it, it didn't work for me, but one was an electronic failure. No amount of cleaning would save it. Hope you get it fixed.

mm cold outside... shakes around idle and its white smoke out the exhaust... i believe its a injector.... try sea foam and see if that breaks up the deposit on the injectors... if that doesnt help i say take the injectors off and see whats going on inside the injector.

i thought about sea foaming, does anyone know where a how-to would be to do it?

its easy man... just pour 1/3 into a full tank of gas, run it for about 5-10min and thats it.....

- for me i usually sea foam b4 i do a oil change so i also pour 1/3 into the brake booster and in the oil itself and let it run and watch all the smoke come out the tailpipe. once it clears up then its done and i change the oil and the filter.
