Did a 20018 ranger with a 3.0 come with a 8.8 read end its a xlt

It should have the 8.8, as most of ford's (RWD) lineup has utilized the 8.8 for a couple decades now.

check your door jam, if its a code 68 then it is a 7.5 full open 3.73 which is what most 3.0's come with. but check your door jam. then look up the code online.

The code for the full open 7.5" with 3.73 gears is 86 not 68.
