So, my ranger is skipping when it I first crank it in the morning, usually skips about 1-2 minutes, sometimes only for about 30 seconds. Then it straightens out and runs smoothly and doesn't have any more issues. No check engine light except one time it came on because it was skipping so bad that it died. I ran it straight to the auto parts store and the code said misfire on cylinder 3. After that, the check engine light went off. I have replaced spark plugs and wires, and put a new coil pack on it. It seems to be worse if I run the AC. I am also getting horrible gas mileage. (I usually get 16-17, I'm getting about 13 right now and this has been going on for about 3 months.) I'm wondering if there is some sort of sensor or something to check. Has anyone had this issue before?
