95 3.0 in a 96

I have aquired a very low mileage 3.0 from a 95 and want to put in my 96. Question is will the 96 ECU be compatible with the 95 engine? I think 96 was the first year for OBDII and would like to take advantage of a hooking up a scanner to the OBDII port one day. Does anyone know what the differences are between these two years of the 3.0 l V6 engine?

In Rangers, 1995 was the first year for OBDII.

There is no difference. It has remained unchanged since they first slapped it in the engine bay.
