Anyone have this problem?

On top of my intake there are 2 little hoses that connect. One had a hole in it and finally broke off. I had to fix it some how with out replacing the whole intake. I went to the auto parts store got a threaded hose bard and extra hose. I had to drill out the intake, tap the intake and hook it all up. I still have a very small leak but it will have to do for now. Take a look.....Anyone else have this problem?

Looks like you got a decent repair. Is the hose tight on the barbs? If not, add a clamp.

Do a search for "HWBP" or hot water bypass.

I disconnected mine and replaced the heater hoses to eliminate the T's.

They are not needed and do not even appear on the newer engines. There's no difference in performance without them. You don't need to heat your intake, so Ford stopped putting them on there. I think 2000 was the last year to have them.
