Best Exhaust and Chip

What is the best exhaust for a 2003 ranger regular cab short bed? hav ebeen looking around and it seems flowmaster 40 or gibson if I am correct. I am not looking for sound but for pure performance. Also what is a good performance chip for the ranger as well. Thanks for all the help cody.

gibson give you better performnce gains, but will be much quieter vs the flow. As for chip/tuner, go with the Bama Tuner (search for the hundreds of topics about it) Probably one of the best mods you can do for your truck is the bama

edit: i cant type =p

I've got a JBA...it picked up my mileage by about 1-2mpg depending on city or highway. Mileage increase means power increase. Nice sound, not too loud.

Magnaflow as well...

Stay away from Flowmaster, glasspacks, and straight pipes if you want more than just sound.

Borla is probably the best performance along with magnaflow.
