Both banks running lean?

Ok so so far I have cleaned my MAF do to my K&N and for the life of me I cant find a vacuum leak. Maybe Im just a idiot but I cant find it. Any other ideas of what could be causing this?

I had this problem, if your truck is 4.0 this will cause the check engine to come on with both banks running lean.

EDIT: just saw your sig. maybe this isn't the problem, couldn't hurt to check for a leak in those rubber elbows though.

Use a stethescope, or look at your STFT's.

Ya its a 3.0. I checked my hoses anyway but didnt come up with anything.

What are STFT's?

have you measured your vacuum?

I measured my 2.3 the other day (after fixing 3! vacuum leaks with a p0171 code) and got 21.5 inches.

If you have a noticable vacuum leak you should be able to notice it on a gauge.

i had this problem with mine and it had a tear in the pcv hose... its on the back of the intake manifold

why not try using an aresol brake parts cleaner to locate the suspected vacuum leak? I use this method often with excellent results. FYI dont spray the exaust (fire hazzard). You will know if you hit a spot that has a vacuum leak as the engine idle will change.
