Chirp and squeal, sounds like a damn diesel...

The Ranger is due for 30K maintenance and there is a heck of a squeal that goes away with some WD-40 in the right places. Need to check the tensioner pulley tomorrow and am thinking about getting a pulley set for when I replace the belt. I've heard nothing but good about the set from Underdog. I doubt that Ford would install them but I did find the installation sticky. Any feedback is appreciated...Merry Christmas all!

to check where the squeal is coming from take a long screw driver and put it the none spinning object or housing and put the other end of the screw driver to your ear. like using a stethascope. works great for locating lifter tick as well.

I think it is coming from the tensioner; everything appears to be moving. Gonna forget about the pulleys for now and take it in for the 30K.
