cold blooded?
Is it just my 2000 3.0.. or is everyones ford a cold blooded POS!

It takes sooo long to even get a little warm air. Once its up to temp, its a oven! haha

Flush your antifreeze. its probably old and needs a good cleaning. Fresh antifreeze will heat up faster.

but yes, i've burned many a leg hairs with the floor heat.

I just flushed the system, and changed the thermostat out aswell. Didn't make a difference.

Than it may be a heater core issue.
How long would you say it takes the truck to start getting warm, like when the gauge starts to hit the very first line.

I havent timed it yet, but I can start it, and drive about 4 miles before it even moves the pin.

That is a bit long.
It takes mine about 3-5 minutes to start warming up. about 10 -15 to be fully warm.

if im driving, my truck is usually warm within 2-3 minutes, full temp within 5 minutes. but then i also have an E-fan so its not pulling cold air constantly.

Good thing the winters almost over haha. Other then that, the truck runs like a top. Not as peppy as I was hoping for, but its a 3.slow I wasent expecting a vortec 4.3

My old 3.0 was like that... took FOREVER to warm up.

I would drive the Camaro, but at 8-10mpg.. I cant afford to. Not to mention it only runs on Premium haha

My 2004 will start producing interior heat in 3-5 minutes from around freezing weather.
