So my engine check light came on and it's giving me two codes:

1. Cylinder #2 misfire
2. Misfire detected on startup, first 1000 rmps.

I replaced the sparkplug and wire for cylinder 2 and it's still there. Also, right before this happened, I realized that i was about 2000 miles past due on an oil change, and when i checked the oil it was completely empty. Could this be related? any suggestions on how to fix it? if not how much would it cost to get it fixed? it's a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge 3.0L V6 4x2. Thanks for your help.
