Engine Ticking Noise While Engine Under Load.
Engine Ticking Noise While Engine Under Load.
I have a 1995 Ford Ranger XLT with a 3.0 engine and automatic transmission. When the engine is cold in the morning and I start the truck I can hear a ticking sound coming from the engine compartment when I put the transmission in reverse or forward. It lasts for about 10 seconds then goes away. I don't hear it the rest of the day no matter how many times I start the engine. Does anyone know what the issue may be. I change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles. Any help is appreciated.
