ive been wanting to do this mod for awhile and this weekend i am going on a junkyard outing and my question is what size escape engine and what year model should i be looking for and what mods will i have to do to get it to fit the ranger, and will the TB sensor on the ranger fit on the escape TB ? or will i have to mod that too ,and last question i know im going to have to get a some kind of adapter to fit the ranger intake tube , the there one i can order offline?

 

You should probably get one from the 2006 Escape's 3.0 motor. I used a similar one when I did my install. You are going to have to do trim off one of the edges of the throttle body and fill in the gaps around the intake opening in order get it to fit and work properly. Unless the design of the 3.0 motor changed (I'm no expert, but I don't think it did) sometime between 2003 and 2006, I don't think you will need an adapter. If they're the same then, 4 screws on the throttle body will fit into the original holes of the ranger's intake. The throttle body sensor should also fit.
