Exhaust Is On

I finally got my Borla put on yesterday. The muffler inlet was the wrong size(2" vs. 2.25")for the stock tubing, but we flanged an extension on it and it worked out. It sounds a lot deeper and louder in sound volume compared to my friends 3.0 with the magnaflow on it. I notice that it gurgles a lot, but I'm pretty sure it just needs to be broken in and I don't mind it anyways. Well, overall I am very happy with the borla and cant believe how loud it is even for being brand new. I can definitely feel the slight performance gains as well. I'll get pictures and sound clips up soon.

Hah, I'm an idiot. I just realized that my turndown was hitting my spare tire and burned a hole through it. Maybe thats why my exhaust was popping soo much. At least now I know their isn't a leak. I'll get clips up soon.

Nice! You didn't look underneath? The installer didn't notice? OMG....nice.

My girlfriends dad installed the exhaust and it was his first one. I didn't bother looking underneath after he was done. I was too excited to take it out for a drive. He did a great job with the exception of the turndown not clearing the spare. Oh well. The muffler(Borla ProXS) sounds a lot quieter now that it has nothing if front of it. Hopefully it will break in soon. I have clips of the muffler with it hitting the spare if anyone wants to hear that. Its pretty damn funny. Vroom Blat BLat Blat is how it sounds.

Sounds kinda ricey. Could have been because it was in the garage. I like it anyways.

Sounds good, but most of the time you have to hear it in person, not too many people have video cameras w/ GREAT microphones and audio capturing capabilities. The popping noise on the way down in the rpms, sorry to mention my focus again everybody, but the svt did the same thing, I think it had something to do w/ either the tuning of the A/F ratio, or it was from lack of back pressure. I mention that cause you said it sounded kinda ricey, I didn't think so, but was that noise what you were talking about?

Before when the turndown was hitting the spare tire, it sounded a lot worse on the deacceleration. It would pop even more than it already is right now. That wa the sound I was talking about before. I think it sounds good now. I'll post some clips of before when it was hitting the spare tire.
