Explorer 3.0l?
Explorer 3.0l?
I drove my Mom's 1999 3.0 Exploder last night and it seemed like it was accelerating smoother and had more power... Is it the same 3.0? Maybe there is something wrong with my truck?
because it is a 4.0 v6......the only 2 engines offered in the Explorer was/is the 4.0 and the 5.0 (4.6 in the newer Explorers)
i want you to prove me wrong with a picture and not argue with me if you still think it is a 3.0....

As have already been stated no 3.0 Ever in an Explorer. I have brochures going back to 1991 for explorers for the Verification (My family used to buy a new explorer every year up til 2000 with the exception of 1997, Mom Bought one in 91, Dad bought one in 92, mom Traded it in in 93... so on)

"Powertrain Options and Availability:
Through its relatively brief lifespan, Navajo came with only one engine: an overhead-valve, 4.0-liter V6 that developed 155 horsepower and 220 pound-feet of torque. By 1993, the engine's rating grew to 160 horsepower, but otherwise nothing changed. Navajos might be equipped either with 5-speed manual shift, or an optional 4 speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel-drive models have Ford's pushbutton-controlled Touch Drive system."
