flowmasters

hey i was wondering if anyone has a set of flowmasters on your 3.0... i was wondering if i should get some or not. not sure if it will have a "deep" enough tone to it.. ???

There's plenty of YouTube vids that have the 3.0 and Flowmasters. You can search their or even search in here. You'll stumble across results either way.

I didn't like the obnoxious "drone" sound from the Flowmasters, so I went with the stainless Gibson system.

i just went from worn out glasspack to flowmaster 40 and like it but kinda wish i would have went with a 60 for a little mellower tone.

got a 40 on mine with dual 2 1/4 tips and sounds good under hard accel and at idle in gear you would swear it was a 5.0...no complaints here

I can attest to the drone some people get with the flowmaster but it really all has to do with making sure that the exhaust is getting expelled out the back of the truck. I've had a floamster 4 series dual dumped with 2.5" piping for each. That casued head aches. I now have just a resonator on it and its decently quite considering its 2.5" all the way out with just cats and resonator.

I have the Flowmaster 40 series, with dual 3" tips......the tone is OK, but not as deep sounding as I would have hoped.....
