Heads or engine.. or 3.8..?
So i've had a cyl #1 misfire/ left bank lean and i've done plugs, wires, injector, cam sensor and now im pretty sure its the common exhaust valve seat problem causing low compression loss. I cant really complain, old blue has over 220,000 miles on her. My question is with my high miles should i go for reman heads, or pick up a somewhat low milage 3.0 from the junkyard? I realize with a junkyard 3.0 motor the same valve problem could show up again at some point.
I have also considered buying a 4.0 from the junkyard, although i haven't fully researched all that it takes to swap up to that (ecu, trans bell housing, ect.)
Also i have a 95 merc sable with a 3.8 v6 and the trans is stuck in 1st gear.. anyone heard of a 3.8 swap lol?
