gas mileage
gas mileage
anything i can do to get better gas mileage for my 2000 ford ranger .has 3.0 and is automatic.getting about 230 to 250 miles per tank. is this norm for this truck.just bought it a month ago and has 43000 miles on it.
My B3000 has 4600 miles on it and i get about 200 miles out of one tank and it takes me at least 32 bucks to fill it up every 3 days. I hate my trucks gas mileage. If anyone knows what i can do to get better gas mileage please let me know.
miles per tank tells you absolutely nothing.
Figure your mpg.
Fill up with gas.
fill up again with gas.. try to fill up to same "fullness"
divide miles/gal
do this 2-3 times take total miles/total gal over say 600miles or so.
3.0 normally get around 20mpg in average use. with normal tires.. etc

while we're on gas mileage...do any of ya'll know how the tornado does? I mean is it worth buying? I've heard it sucks on the internet but then I've heard it saves about 2-3 miles per gallon from a couple of friends...

Running a gas log and keeping running averages will be the most telling indication of your fuel economy.
gas mileage
I get about 20 mpg but when I take off the tailgate (3 tanks for verification), I get about 22-23. I might buy a toneou cover 'cause that air hitting the inside of the tailgate when I'm on the highway is costing me $4 a tank!
i am getting 20 mpg when i pull my trailer that weighs around 4500 pounds loaded and with out the trailer i get 22 mpg. and something that help me alot is to lay off the gas so much because i use to get 14 to 16 mpg
