$$$ is the issue... I wasn't planning on replacing my motor right after xmas.... xmas made me broke.

3.0's aren't bad engines.

Underdrive pullies?

Do you mind sharing how much the entire thing ran you, getting the engine and having it installed?

Hey Trent,

The engine was $700, free shipping. Install with pullies was $650.

Got the engine from www.karking.com

So is this engine noticeably stronger with the pulleys and not having as many miles on the engine?

Yes sir, feels a lot stronger, although, I haven't been able to step on it really until I break it in.

Hmm. Now I'm confused. So it was a used engine that karking bought, then rebuilt, then sold to you? Because in the original post it says 65k on it.

But do you think it's the pulleys that help that much or just that fact that it's not "tired"?

I think it's mainly the pullies. They make a pretty good difference. I like it. Doesn't take much to speed up and merge lanes.

Kar King got the engine from someone and reconditioned the whole thing. Then sold it to me and delivered it. There was no mount for the Knock Sensor though on the engine, but they ended up making a mount for it. I think these engines might be from Japan cus they don't have smog and there was no where to mount a knock sensor.

I don't think its a Jap motor. I think it may have come out of something else that uses the same engine.

Probably. The heads are different on the car engines, though.

Is it composite intake or metal?
