well in my 3.0 v6, i notice it has some power, but i need to press the pedal all the way down before it actually puts more gas into the engine. mines an automatic, and im tired of feeling like im driving really aggressively because i always have the pedal to the metal :D. i want it to like pump gas like crazy when i touch the gas, like in my suburban w/ its 8.1 liter.

that will not do any good

Overdrive is for towing to keep the tranny from switching back and forth from 4th to overdrive. It helps keep the temp down and is less strain on the tranny.

exactly. if it doesnt shift into overdrive then there will be less delay when you hit the gas pedal, which will make it seem faster. personally i wouldnt drive around with od off, but if you want to feel like the trucks faster then it would help.

yeah thats what i was thinking... but i was thinking it was more of a timing thing, because if i hit the gas, almost a full second later the rpms will start rising. my brother suggested maybe fooling with the throttle body.. any ideas?

theres going to be the same delay... you dont go faster until you hit 3rd because it wont let your truck go into 4th thus higher rmps.... your first two gears are not affect

it's a 3.0..it's not a powerful engine to begin with.. not really too much you can do without spending some money.
