I have a 1993 Ranger with a 3.0 that will drank but not start. I popped the distributor cap off and saw that the rotor wasn’t spinning. So, I replaced the distributor due to the gears being ruined but it still won’t start. The rotor does spin now but has a decent amount of play. Thinking about replacing the cap and rotor to see if that helps... any suggestions? It is getting fuel. I had the motor at TDC. Could it be because it’s not timed correctly?
