Magnum Performance chip?

I was looking at this on eBay, Ford RANGER 3.0L Magnum Performance Chip, and I thought for basically $27, thats not bad. Does anybody know if its even worth it? If not, its pretty cheap, and is being sold about 2 hours from me, (no sh*tty hong kong stuff) i'll give it a try.

45 hp my ***. all these chips do is dump more fuel into the cylinders. they are no good!!! you need a tuner that can alter and control air fuel ratios and fuel mapping. not just add more fuel throughout the whole map

Its a resistor that tricks your MAF readouts going into the PCM lies about intake temp and air charge. Ruins motor.
