more misfire misery
hair line cracks in the rubber hoses cannot be seen by the naked eye
you must take off the hose and bent it to extreme angles to see any cracks
if you suspect that particular hose is leaking ,, wrap electrical tightly around the hose and take a heat gun to the tape.
it will melt the glue on the tape to the hose and seal it
i recommend you take off all of the vacuum hoses and wrap them with electrical tape
when i replace any rubber vacuum hose-- i always coat the hose with lithium grease
( after i install it of course )
this process ensures that moisture is kept inside the rubber -- retaining it`s sealing qualities
don`t forget rubber rots over time IE-heat / moisture / cold /

Allright. Success!!!
I apologize for dropping the thread for a while, but I got mad at the truck and let it sit for 2 weeks. I finally gave up and began tearing the engine down again. I got to the intake manifold gaskets and immediatly noted the problem. I had either installed them improperly, which is likely or they moved at some point after installation. Anyway instead of them lining up flat and true against the head and manifold they were for some reason bend ina an inverted v shape over the center cylinder intakes on each head. This looked really weird to me so Im waiting another month or so to see if it redevelopes. I would like to get some new IM bolts, but havent found any yet. We can probably chok this one up to mechanic failure (me).
Thanks for your help fellas I do appreciate it.
