Motor Mounts question 1986 2.9
Hi all, and thanks in advance.
Well, the story is that I'm installing a long block in my '86 Ranger, and as I have limited time, have to return to the project with only a few hours to spare in the cold. No fun, as I'm sure you all know.
I've reached the point where I'm dropping the engine in. I installed new motor mounts, and I made sure that I put the correct sides in the only holes they would fit in. However, in settling the motor in I got the driver's side going, and had in issue on the other. Now, I was pretty tired and freezing, but it struck me that these mounts on the frame aren't necessarily level with the mounts on the engine. And... everything only goes on one way???? Anyway, my brain is numb from thinking this out last night. I'm going to have more time to try again today, but wanted to see if anyone had some suggestions. I couldn't find much help online, and I'm writing this before I review the Haynes book, (which is at the place I'm working on the truck).
Yeah, kimda dumb, but I'm doing this solo.
Thanks in advance.
