anyways i ran the code.. egr flow insufficient. where is this located on my 99? could i just clean it to fix it?

 

the egr valve? is the truck running okay? mines back near the wipers its gotta rubber hose type thing h/o a sec and ill show you...



now to fix mine 4now all i did was unplug it and put somthing to seal it from dust etc. and then go to the ford place and order one i dont know the prices though...

 

well i just bought the truck. it seems to be running fine

 

and mines a 2.3L so it prolly gonna be in a diff. location....BUT IF ITS RUNNING FINE DONT BOTHER THEN go to a local ford shop

 

There are three major components to the EGR system:

The EGR Valve itself
The EGR Vacuum Regulator Solenoid (EVR)
The Differential Pressure Feedback EGR sensor (DPFE)

Although there are other possibilities, the most common cause for that code is a bad DPFE. It looks something like this:
