A little back story....
Couple months ago I found myself driving a 95 w/ 2.3L, got it for what I felt was a great price. The thing was a total sled on wheels, mpg sucked (15C and 18H), no power even down hill.
3 days before Christmas I traded the sled for a 2001 3.0L XL 2WD and have not looked back until today. This 01 XL is a fricken beast compared to the 95. I'm getting 20 / 24 consistently with every tank. It has enough power to get out of its own way and scare off some ricers, lol
From everything I've seen this Ranger is totally stock, except for normal wear and tear replacement parts. Can't wait to do a few upgrades and what-not.
Think I might start a Build thread or ongoing fix it thread, idk.
What I've done so far is,
replaced wires and plugs
changed all fluids
front brakes - pads, rotors, bearing and seals.
adjusted headlights - looking for better performing lights for night driving
