Hi, I just purchased subject truck with 7,200 miles. Can I start using a fully synthetic oil now or must I wait a certain number of miles (e.g until the engine is completely broken in)? Thank you.

Tex, Thank you so much for providing me with the Mobil 1 site. If you would be so kind, do you use Mobil 1, if so, full or blend synthetic, how often do you recommend changing my oil and finally, would FRAM Filters be OK? Thanks again, Nancy.

 

All products with the Mobil 1 name (not Mobil) are fully synthetic. I change my oil every 5000 miles, and use either a Motorcraft or Mobil 1 filter. Skip the Fram!

 

you can use mobil 1 now and stay far away from anything made by fram like penzoil
